Misenani Mills, a division of Misenani Agriculture Services, was founded in 2020 in Mwanza, Tanzania, to produce high-quality, finely milled maize flour trusted by families and businesses across the country.
About Us
Founded in 2020 and proudly based in Mwanza, Tanzania, Misenani Mills is a trusted maize milling company dedicated to producing high-quality, finely milled maize flour for families, businesses, and communities across the region.
With a production capacity of 30 tonnes per day, we have grown from a local mill into a reliable name in Tanzania’s agricultural sector known for our consistency, quality, and care in every grain we produce.
Our journey began with a simple belief: that access to nutritious, affordable food can transform lives. Today, we continue that mission by working closely with local farmers, promoting fair sourcing, and supporting sustainable agricultural practices that strengthen our communities.
At Misenani, we’re not just milling maize — we’re feeding hope, empowering farmers, and building a stronger, self-reliant Tanzania.
CEO
Dr. Curthbert Kivuyo is a visionary Tanzanian entrepreneur with over two decades of experience in agribusiness. He founded Misenani Agriculture Services in 1996 as a poultry enterprise, which grew into a multi-million-shilling business known for quality, reliability, and innovation in the agricultural sector.
After successfully leading the poultry business for more than 20 years, Curthbert retired from that venture in 2020 and established Misenani Mills expanding the company’s legacy into maize milling and food production.
Guided by his deep commitment to community development and food security, Curthbert has transformed Misenani into one of Mwanza’s most trusted maize milling operations, producing up to 30 tonnes of premium flour per day. His leadership continues to reflect the same principles that built his first success: hard work, integrity, and a passion for feeding the nation.
